UQ's network takes flight

The new ITS-led Phoenix programme will deliver the world's largest 802.11n wireless network, and Asia Pacific's largest tertiary Cisco telepresence network, to UQ in the coming months.
A major upgrade of the whole UQ network, Phoenix will provide greater speed and access and include a tenfold increase in the reach of the University’s wireless network - installing more than 4000 access points - to include most buildings and open spaces at UQ campuses and sites.
