Registrations are now open for the 7th annual AusCERT Information Security Conference. AusCERT2008 focuses on the security issues surrounding user information, an internet user's views of privacy, and what it means to be a citizen of the Internet.
Governments, businesses and individuals have digital personas with similar properties, in that they all have a stake in the way we use identifying information via the internet.

UQ Shared Mail and Calendar reaches a milestone
UQ Shared Mail and Calendar - UQ's enterprise email and calendar system for staff - recently reached the important milestone of being rolled out to over 15,000 staff and resource accounts. The system has delivered improved communication and collaboration between staff and colleagues, and is especially useful for booking meetings.
With the majority of organisational units migrated, the project is shifting focusing to take advantage of product enhancement opportunities including improvements in account lifecycle management. More...
UQ's new Lecture Theatre Recording system
UQ is in the first stage of implementing a Lecture Theatre Recording (LTR) system on all three campuses. It is based on Lectopia and will enable recording of lectures for delivery via the Internet.
In time for this semester, large lecture theatres across the campuses (those with a capacity above 200 students) were fitted with Lecture Recording systems to empower more flexible modes of teaching and learning at UQ. More...
