UQtrainIT provides training courses that focus on enhancing the conceptual IT understanding and skill levels of staff, students and external clients. UQtrainIT runs Pearson VUE and Thompson Prometric testing services that give students the opportunity on course completion to take certification exams that give them world wide recognition for the knowledge and skills they have obtained.

UQtrainIT is continuing to run the Cisco & Microsoft Academy programs. Outside the Academy programs, UQtrainIT periodically runs short course programs aimed at people who don't have time to do the more extensive Academy courses. Also UQtrainIT is in the process of developing distance learning modes.
