The Eduroam network provides secure access to the UQ network. Follow the guides to pre-configure your computer for access to Eduroam. You are also able to use this network on other Eduroam campuses around the globe using your UQ Credentials to access the internet. It is the recommended network for all UQ Staff.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to create a secure connection to a private network (such as the UQnet, which is the University's network) over public access lines. This connection will act as if it is on the actual private network.
