Microsoft Exchange is an advanced email system offered to UQ staff

Functionality includes:

• Normal mail delivery
• Mail delivery to lists
• Mail delivery to programs
• 500MB storage per user free of charge
• A choice of email clients, including Outlook XP & 2003 for windows , Entourage for Mac or Evolution for Linux users (requires Outlook 2003 for full functionality)
• Web access via Outlook Web Access (OWA) in my.UQ
• Organizational unit level addresses or UQ addresses, e.g. joebloggs@uq.edu.au or joebloggs@physics.uq.edu.au both of which will reach joebloggs at his UQ Mail Exchange account
• Mail filtering
• Virus scanning
• Out of Office messages
• Exchange Calendar
• Public Folders
• Mail forwarding
• Secure access to mail (SSL)
• UQ directory access (Active Directory)
• Local administration for OU's
