| 1)Click the [Start] button. |

| 3)Select the 'Control Panel'. |

| 4)In the Control Panel, click the [Network] icon to open the network configuration. |

5)Click to highlight the 'TCP/IP -> Ethernet Adapter'. The exact name shown on your computer will vary depending on what type of network card you have installed. |
| Do NOT confuse this with the 'TCP/IP -> Dialup Adapter'. |
| 6)Once the adapter is highlighted, click the [Properties] button to display the TCP/IP Properties of this Ethernet adapter. |

| 7)Click on the 'IP Address' tab as shown. |
| 8)Select the option 'Obtain an IP address automatically' by placing a dot in it. |
| 9)Click the [OK] button to continue. |

| 10)Click the [Yes] button to restart your computer. |
| After the re-start your computer is configured for DHCP. When connected to a network it will request and receive a server assigned IP address automatically. |
