 WebPrISM Administration

WebPrISM II is a web interface into the PrISM INGRES database which gives administrators the ability to search for information on students, staff and external clients, create new accounts quickly and change passwords, and print account information letters. It is also able to display staff card and student card photographs.

WebPrISM II is designed for use by ITS and non-ITS UQ staff including Client Services, Help Desk, AskIT, The International Office and departmental HR officers.

High level security and authorisation is possible because WebPrISM II assigns users a "Role" which defines the operations they can perform, and what information they can access. Department administrators are able to add and remove users in their "Roles".

WebPrISM II is able to link directly with SI-net, Aurion, Kerberos and LDAP and has the potential to link to more systems if required.
